About Me
I’m Andres, a therapist and a patient — and that’s exactly why I built something that isn’t therapy. My experience both behind and on the couch has led me here.
Clinical work comes with a structure that exists for good reasons: boundaries, documentation, the shape of the therapeutic relationship itself. Those protections matter, and I hold them carefully in my clinical practice. But they also mean the plain, human explanation of what’s happening inside a person often gets rationed out slowly — an insight at a time, week by week — or never reaches the people who can’t get through the door at all.
Psychoeducation doesn’t require that structure. Understanding isn’t treatment; it’s just knowledge, and knowledge shouldn’t require an intake, a referral, or a copay.
I studied psychology because I wanted these tools for myself — to understand my own mind and do the work on my own life. Along the way I learned how to structure that knowledge so anyone can move through it at their own pace. And pace is the barrier no one talks about: even people who can afford therapy are held to its rhythm — one session a week, whether or not a week was enough, whether or not you’re ready to move on.
The Decoder and The Foundation exist to remove that constraint. The Decoder helps you make sense of what you’re feeling in the moment. The Foundation lets you learn the concepts underneath it — in order, at your own speed, returning to what you need, when you need it.
This is not a replacement for therapy. It’s the groundwork that makes therapy more effective when you have it — and makes self-understanding possible for people who don’t yet have access to it.
Mental health. Balance. Perspective.
